Yard birds

My backyard has hosted many species of birds, because of the mix of berry trees, pines, scrub-land, and bushes..... not to mention that it is on the flyway to the local landfill; so lots of gulls. True, a Herring is just flying by as we speak.

Here is the yard list, currently at 124 :

Snow Goose - With a flock of 35 Canada Geese on Christmas Eve, 2013.
Cackling Goose - Finally mustered a Cackler for the first time in early November, 2014.

Summer Tanager - Presumably female. All medium-to-light orange. No hint of yellow anywhere. Darker wings, and no visible wing-bars. Thicker beak, and more plump than a Western all around.
It was moving sluggishly through the upper portions of the giant conifer, and moved just when I was about to get a picture.
